‘I'm the only logical choice’. Is McGregor aiming for the Irish presidency?

Famous mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has been out of the octagon for three years now, and there are many indications that the Irishman may not return to the sport at all, as he is aiming for big politics.
McGregor released a post on his X account (formerly Twitter) in which he announced his intentions (whether seriously or not is anyone's guess) to run for President of Ireland:
‘As President, I have the power to convene the Dáil [the lower house of the Irish Parliament] as well as dissolve it. So, as I said, I will have all the answers that the people of Ireland are looking for from these labour thieves, these destroyers of family ties, these destroyers of small business, and so on and so forth!
These charlatans in positions of power will be held to account by the people of Ireland and I will do so before the end of the day. Or I will have no choice but to dissolve the Dáil completely. Stop the train.
The people of Ireland deserve the answers they seek. That is certain. That is my authority as President. I am well aware. Ireland needs an active president, employed entirely by the people of Ireland. That is me. I am the only logical choice. The year 2025 is coming...,’ McGregor's tweet read.
Under Irish law, in order to be nominated, McGregor needs to be nominated by at least 20 members of the bicameral parliament, as well as at least four of the 31 local authorities in Ireland.
Conor himself last stepped into the octagon in the summer of 2021, when he broke his leg in a fight with Dustin Porier at UFC 264.
