Yesterday, the legendary American gymnast Simone Biles clinched her seventh Olympic gold medal.
Following this triumph, Biles hinted at the possibility of competing in the next Olympic Games. In an interview with USA Today, she remarked,
"Never say never. The next Olympics will be at home, so you never know what might happen. But by then, I will be very old."
The next Summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, USA. By the start of the competition, Biles will be 31 years old.
Currently, Biles trails only Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina in the number of Olympic gold medals among both men and women. Latynina holds nine gold medals.
Biles won her Olympic golds at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games (four medals) and this year in Paris. Theoretically, she could match Latynina's record in 2028, as she qualified for every discipline in the current competitions.
Let us note that at the moment the United States has fourteen gold medals, and in the overall medal standings they occupy second place behind athletes from China.
